Director of Agency Operations

The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) is seeking a results-driven, strategically minded Director of Agency Operations to lead the day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and product development of the agency department. What You'll Do:

• Lead internal staff, external service providers, TPAs, and a network of 150+ local agents.
• Oversee distribution of KLCIA insurance accounts and maintain daily operations.
• Drive growth by developing marketing strategies, cross-selling KLC services, and delivering quotes to members.
• Represent KLC in member presentations, conferences, and board reports.
• Collaborate with claims, loss control, and underwriting departments to ensure competitive pricing and coverage solutions.
• Maintain compliance, licensure, and CE hours for all appointed agents.
• Manage high-impact projects, budgets, and agency-wide initiatives to elevate the member experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, business, or insurance-related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, property, casualty, and insurance.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven experience with managing people, processes, and partnerships across multiple lines of coverage.
• Licensure in Property, Casualty, Liability, Health, and Life Insurance (required) in the state of Kentucky.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel moderately, including some overnight stays.
